His athletic ability and running skill allow him to maintain his success as a QB. In Scott's first collegiate start, he completed 19 of 30 for 202 yards and was 14-for-20 for 150 yards and a touchdown. Meantime, he rushed for career-high 91 yards on career-high 10 attempts against Washington State, and another 83 yards in opener against the Chippewas. Scott has a remarkable total of 497 career rushing yards on 64 carries and he continues to give Arizona offensive coordinators a viable options for a two-pronged attack for the next two years. As a true freshman in 2008 he led the team with 8.2 yards per rush in flush-out or designed plays, and completed 64 percent of his 11 pass attempts; he scored a pair of rushing touchdowns (Idaho, WSU) and throwing for another (Idaho). He was six-for-10 passing for 77 yards and season-high eight carries (48 yards) in opener, high of 58 yards rushing. |
